What is a KITE?
KITE is a Technology Innovation Platform created by AMTDC-IIT Madras for the enrichment of Manufacturing Innovation, Product Development and Skill Development.
What is the objective of KITE?
KITE is an initiative to set up manufacturing technology and innovation platforms, a virtual connectivity medium to bring together various stakeholders under one common goal - Indigenization of technologies and a self-reliant India.
Who can register on the portal?
Students, Professionals and Investors are eligible to register in the portal.
Can visitors view the contents without signing up as a user?
All visitors can access the page without signing up, however by signing up under the respective profile user will be able to access the relevant content and participate in events hosted by KITE.
What are the credentials needed to register as an expert?
The registered expert will be validated based on their industry credentials and experience by our internal committee and their profile will be approved as expert user.
Is there any fee for registration as a user or an expert?
There is no registration fee for User or Expert to access the basic features in KITE platform as of now.
Can I upgrade my profile from user to an expert?
Yes you can upgrade from user to an expert account by creating a new account since the registration varies for each respectively.
Who is eligible to take part in the challenges?
All the users are eligible to take part in the challenges, Please read the eligibility of the participants for posted challenges before applying.
How to participate in a challenge?
Kindly register your interest in the registration form which will be attached in the posted challenges before the application deadline to participate in the respective challenge.
Can one participate to solve more than one challenge?
Yes, you can participate in more than one challenge.
How many applications can be submitted for one challenge?
Only one application will be taken into account for each challenge. By submitting multiple applications will be considered disqualified.
Are there any rewards associated with the successful completion of a challenge?
Yes, upon successful completion of a challenge the winning team will be rewarded based upon the work. The details of the reward will be mentioned in the notice of the respective challenges.
How is the solution to a challenge evaluated?
The solution for each challenge will be evaluated by AMTDC and IIT Madras internal committee and the results will be published.
Will it be possible for a user to withdraw from solving a challenge?
Yes, you can withdraw from the challenge at any point of time. If one person from the team is withdrawing the entire team will be considered as disqualified and will not be allowed to participate further.
Can an organization be registered on the portal?
Yes organization can register in the KITE platform as ‘’Professionals’’.
I have a product issue, can I post on KITE to seek a resolution?
Yes, you can connect with any of our experts suitable to your domain in order to seek a solution, alternatively you can make use of our discussion forum or microblogging tab to seek a solution.
How does KITE ensure the Ownership rights to content ?
You acknowledge that content, including but not limited to text, software, music, sound, photographs, videos, graphics or other material contained in either sponsor promotions or messages distributed, commercially produced information presented to you by AMTDC-IITM or AMTDC-IITM’s users and collaborators, is protected by copyrights, trademarks, service marks, patents or other ownership rights and laws. You are permitted to use this content as authorised by the service or the advertiser.
How does KITE act to a Copyright complaint ?
AMTDC-IITM respects the intellectual property of others. It is AMTDC-IITM’s policy to respond expeditiously to claims of copyright and other intellectual property infringement. AMTDC-IITM will promptly process and investigate notices of alleged infringement and will take appropriate actions.
